On pins and needles waiting for the arrival of Manolis, their wealthy and self-accomplished businessman nephew whom they've never met, Aristides and Aspasia Papakatsika are convinced that they are about to get rich. However, instead of him, the couple's second nephew arrives, Manolis: an impecunious employee in grave need of a loan to marry off his sister. As one thing leads to another, and the pair of Manolis set foot in the Papakatsika's residence, more and more, Aristides becomes obsessed with sealing the deal.
