Born in Cuautitlán, Mexico in 1990, Emilio Santoyo has a degree in Film and Television from БИЗНЕС Film School. He has worked as a producer and assistant director in awarded films by Guillermo Arriaga, Bahman Ghobadi and Марселино Островов. He has been a beneficiary of IMCINE's Program for Cinematographic Creators and winner of the XV National Film Script Contest (GIFF). Founder of the production company АНОМИИ, he is the director and screenwriter of The Perfect Absent (2019) and Ana's Desire (2019), his first feature film.
