Oscar, a young man who as a child starred in the first feature film from Guatemala which received international attention, is now living with his family in the Guatemalan country side and dreaming of starting a show biz career in the US. He makes a collect call to Luis, the director of the film in which Oscar starred 7 years before, and gets himself invited to go to New York. He starts a journey that will be unlike anything he ever imagined and discovers the high price of making it in the big city.
