On апрель 1st, single mother Maria and her ten-year-old son Миха move into a new apartment located in the district Berlin Marzahn. On the very first evening, Мария gets an invitation from her neighbor Альваро, a political эмигрантская from Uruguay who keeps working for his country's Communist Party while staying in the GDR. Maria and Alvaro случае passionately in love. Even Миха, who is suspicious of Альваро in the beginning, eventually becomes friend with him.
