Граф Рудольф Lerchenau is a handsome young man, but his family fortune is all gone, and he works as a шофер, with only his faithful valet Франц to remind him of his family положение. Nonetheless, he manages to visit an expensive hotel by chance restaurant and meets a beautiful woman, Алиса. They spend the evening together but she disappears suddenly, leaving him alone.
